Regina High School was dedicated on December 8, 1954 by His Excellency Michael O'Reilly, Bishop of the Diocese of St. Georges, to the honour of God and the glory of the blessed Virgin Mary. The school was named as the High School of Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth and thus,REGINA HIGH SCHOOL, under the auspices of the Congregation of Christian Brothers of Canada.
During the summer of 1983, a fire destroyed Regina High School;hence a new Regina High School was opened in the Fall of 1985 at the same site on Mount Bernard Avenue. It is noteworthy that in September of 1985 Regina High School became a co-ed institution, welcoming its first female students. In September of 1998, all schools governed by the Provincial Government became non-denominational.
